Whenever I am home, I spend time volunteering at my church Woodruff First Baptist.  I spend time as a vacation bible school teacher. As a vacation bible school teacher, I'm in charge of planning activites for a week and keeping track of the children throughout the week. I have helped teach at 3 vacation bible schools. My time spent volunteering has taught me the value of devoting your time to those that need it. It's not just devoting your time but your best effort as well. My time teaching has taught me leadership skills, such as designating tasks and working with other leaders to plan events for the week. I have also interacted with parents and other care givers, such as grandparents and day cares, in order to enure  that my class had a safe and fun week. I have learned effective  communication skills with adults as well as children from my time volunteering.
