I am currently doing research with Dr. Williams, Ph.D. and Dr. Nelson, MD through the Greenville Health System. My research will be on type 1 pediatric diabetes and mobile technology that helps monitor type 1 diabetes in patients. This research will assess current sources of mobile technology available and possible barriers in their use by patients. I will assess these barriers by applying various models of health behavior to patients and these findings will then be applied to make the mobile technology more accessible and utilized by patients. The majority of my research will take place during the summer and fall of 2015.
