I am a part of the FIRST Generation Program, and this program has helped give me the tools necessary to succeed in college.

I love spending time with fellow students in Death Valley on Saturdays. Seeing all that orange makes me love my school even more.

In 2012, I was able to spend three weeks on Clemson's campus and take a summer course. This academic experience helped me prepare for my freshman year.

When I was 6 years old, I went to my first Clemson football game and that started my deep love for Clemson. I wanted to go to Clemson not just because of the family atmosphere and the beautiful campus, although they did play big parts, but mainly because of Clemson's emphasis on academics and research. I knew that if I went to Clemson, I would learn and thrive in an environment that encouraged me no matter what I decided to do. These past three years at Clemson have been life changing for me as they have been periods of growth, socially and mentally. Going to Clemson has opened doors for me, such as doing Departmental Honors Research on type 1 diabetes.
