Since a young age, I have always known that I wanted to work in the healthcare field as a physician, but I never knew what type I wanted to be. I knew that I wanted to work in primary care and work with all age groups. As a result, I did some research into the occupation of an Internal-Medicine Pediatrician (Med-Ped) and conducted an interview with a local Med-Ped. While working on my research, I knew that I had to be prepared for working in the field of medicine, so I became certified in programs that would help me provide quality care to others. During my time here at Clemson, I've often tried to expose myself to as many different sources of health care as possible. I actively volunteer and shadow at the Greenville Health System and the Rosa Clark Medical Clinic and as I result, I continue to learn so much about the dynamics of healthcare. I hope to one day apply the lessons that I learn to my occupation as a health care provider.
