As a member of the FCA Events Team, I am responsible for helping to plan and execute various events throughout the school year. These events vary from roller skating night to a bonfire. They vary in duration from a few hours to a weekend event. During the preparation for these events, I would help come up with ideas as well as get materials and help setup for the event. At each event, there could be a few hundred college students so I had to plan to account for the maximum possible attendees. As I ran events, such as the movie night, I designated tasks to group members such as reserving the space required and getting materials for the event. I also coordinated with social media outlets and communication coordinators in FCA in order to get the information out to the public. Being on the FCA events team teaches me valuable leadership skills, such as respecting other people’s ideas and  collaborating with others efficiently.
